Are ASTM A105 elbows equivalent to steel?
A 105 is an ASTM steel forging specification primarily used for carbon steel forged piping components. The carbon steel forging alloy involved is a low carbon, manganese and silicon steel similar to AISI 1330, but with a lower manganese content.

 

ASTM A105 seamless elbow is usually used in pipeline systems under high temperature and high pressure, such as oil, natural gas, chemical industry and other fields. Its size and pressure level can be selected according to actual needs. Common sizes range from 1/2 inch to 48 inches, and pressure levels range from 150LB to 2500LB.
