40Mn2 Alloy Steel Seamless Pipes

40mn2 precision seamless pipes for auto parts are widely used to manufacture structural parts and mechanical parts, such as oil drill pipes, automobile transmission shafts, bicycle frames, and steel scaffolding used in construction. Steel pipes are used to make ring parts.
40Mn2 alloy steel pipe is a medium-carbon quenched and tempered manganese steel. The strength, plasticity and wear resistance of the steel are high, and the machinability and heat treatment process performance are also good. The critical hardenable diameter in oil reaches 8.5~23mm. The critical hardenable diameter in water reaches 20~42mm; however, it has temper brittleness and overheating sensitivity, and is prone to cracking during quenching.
40Mn2 seamless pipe has white spot sensitivity, low cold deformation plasticity and poor weldability. It needs to be preheated to 100~425℃ before welding.
