Low Alloy Steel Pipe
Low-alloy steel tubes are commonly used in construction and structural engineering, such as in the manufacture of bridges, building frames, transmission towers, etc.
Low alloy seamless steel pipe refers to alloy steel with a total alloying element content of less than 5%. Low alloy steel is relative to carbon steel. It is based on carbon steel pipes. In order to improve the performance of the steel, one or several alloying elements are intentionally added to the steel. When the amount of alloy added exceeds the normal content of carbon steel produced by normal production methods, the steel is called alloy steel.
When the total alloy content is less than 5%, it is called low alloy steel pipe. Ordinary alloy steel pipe is generally less than 3.5%. When the alloy content is between 5-10%, it is called medium alloy steel pipe. When the alloy content is greater than 10%, it is called high alloy steel pipe.
The yield point of a steel structure determines the stress that the structure can withstand without permanent deformation. The minimum yield point of a typical carbon structural steel pipe is 235MPa. The minimum yield point of a typical low-alloy high-strength steel pipe is 345MPa. Therefore, according to the proportional relationship between its yield point, the allowable stress of low-alloy high-strength steel pipes is 1.4 times higher than that of carbon steel pipes.
Alloy tube material: 20G (ST45.8-III), 12Cr1MoV, T12, 15CrMo (13CrMo44, STFA22, STPA22, P12), Cr5Mo, 35CrMo, Q345B (16Mn), 27SiMn, 20Cr, 40Cr, 12Cr2Mo, T91, STFA26, 12Cr2MoC , 10CrMo910, A335P22, T22, STFA24.
Alloy pipe implementation standards: GB5310-1995, GB17396-1998, DIN17175-79, GB6479-2000, GB9948-2006, etc.
