The main difference in the chemical composition of A312 TP304 stainless steel pipe and TP304L stainless steel pipe is the range of carbon content and nickel content. The upper limit of carbon content of 304L steel pipe is 0.035%, which is lower than TP304. The carbon element in steel can provide strength, but according to the chromium deficiency principle, the precipitation of chromium carbide will affect corrosion resistance; while nickel can improve corrosion resistance.
